Wrigley Mansion is easily one of the most beautiful places in Phoenix for a proposal, and Jon and Evelyn’s evening was such a wonderful example of why. With gorgeous mountain views, historic architecture, and a stunning setup overlooking the city, everything came together so beautifully for this surprise proposal.
My friend Jandar, owner of Jandar’s Events, designed and coordinated the proposal setup, and she did an incredible job bringing everything together. The space was decorated with white florals, candles, and rose petals, creating such a beautiful setting against the surrounding desert landscape.
A Surprise Proposal at Wrigley Mansion
The best part about this proposal was that Evelyn had absolutely no idea what was coming! Jon had told her they were attending a baptism event, so as far as she knew, they were simply getting dressed up for an occasion.
Instead, she arrived at Wrigley Mansion to find an incredible proposal setup waiting for her. Between the flowers, candles, and beautiful views of the Phoenix mountains, it was such a wonderful moment to photograph.
I always love being part of surprise proposals, especially when so much thought and planning goes into making the experience memorable for the couple.
Engagement Portraits Around Wrigley Mansion
After the proposal, we spent some time exploring the property and taking portraits around Wrigley Mansion. One of my favorite things about this location is the variety of beautiful backdrops it offers without having to travel anywhere else.
We photographed around the outdoor spaces, taking advantage of the gorgeous sunset and surrounding mountain views before heading inside to capture some portraits featuring the mansion’s historic architecture.
From the outdoor scenery to the beautiful architectural details inside, there were so many opportunities to create a variety of portraits throughout the evening.
Sunset Views and Candlelit Proposal Photos
As the sun began to set, we made our way back outside to the original proposal location. By this point, the candles were glowing, creating an entirely different atmosphere from when Evelyn first arrived.
It was such a beautiful way to end the session, capturing a few more portraits surrounded by the floral arrangements and candlelit scenery.
Everything about this evening came together so nicely, from Jon’s thoughtful surprise to the incredible setup by Jandar’s Events and the beautiful setting at Wrigley Mansion.
